Finally, we’re introduced to the first single off Chiddy Bang’s long awaited debut album, Breakfast. “Ray Charles” is a fresh look at this Philly duo, which features a soulful piano riff with well sampled R&B backups. But the best thing has got to be those Chiddy flows. I’ll give 50% to Xaphoon, but I haven’t heard Chiddy sound so fresh since The Preview [...]

I’m not gonna spout off why I like this so much, it’s way too early in the morning. But I will say this, it’s nice to hear a Xaphoon joint over something other than Chiddy. And no I’m not bashing Chiddy! people…
Xaphoon needs to do something with Gambino cause these two match up better than just a mashup. But as far as mashups go, this is another one that sure as hell competes with the originals. Well done, 21azy – Minnesota rep.re.sent!
Of course we had to hear some cuts from Chiddy’s Guinness World Record for the longest freestyle rap, coming in at 9 hours, 18 minutes & 22 seconds. I kept up with it for the last half and there were definitely many of those Chiddy witty one liners. Someone should make a damn story out of all those rhymes! ;)
It’s good to see that Chiddy Bang is swellin’ to Status. Can’t wait to hear what’ll be on Peanut Butter & Swelly, which releases this Friday (the 27th) – especially what Xaphoon has in store for us!

This may be old news to you Chiddy Bang fans, but damn did I get excited when I heard them on the television. Chiddy Bang was recently featured on a Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit commercial. The commercial features Chiddy’s relatively known remix of MGMT’s “Kids”, appropriately titled “Opposite of Adults.”
The videogame clip wasn’t all that impressive considering just the game, but hearing Chiddy over the clip got me going – it’s nice to see someone you’ve supported over the last year actually get some notoriety. I’ve said this in many past posts on Chiddy, these guys have so much potential, I just hope they keep up with [...]

I’ve been posting waayyy too much Chiddy Bang over the past month. I feel like I’ve dedicated a blog to them… hint, hint (it’s in the works). But they are too damn good to pass up. With their EP, The Preview, just around the corner, Chiddy’s droppin’ some fine remixes to get the word out.
Their remix of New Zealand’s chart topping “Young Blood”, originally by The Naked & Famous, goes so damn well with Chiddy’s style, especially with Alisa Xayalith’s backup vocals. They also did a cover of Bobby McFerrin’s “Don’t Worry Be Happy” for Billboard.com‘s mashup monday – take a look at it below.
I also had to include one last track from their EP that’s droppin’ this next Tuesday (support that shit!). “Bad Day” is [...]

When I posted “The Good Life” a couple days back, I wasn’t expecting to listen to The Preview just a few days later. I had no idea at the time that the Australian release was set for October 1.
Last night a buddy of mine from New Zealand hooked me up with a link. I thought he was fucking with me at first, but after sampling the tracks I figured it was legit. The album’s been on repeat since and of course I have mixed reviews (always happens with new albums).
To The Preview and Chiddy Bang’s credit, these guys have come out with two stellar tracks in the past few month “Pass Out” & “The Good Life”, not to mention [...]
