There’s something soothing about repetition, and like Magic Touch & Sapphire Slows – ‘When I See You’, Jook10 has the funkyass drum patterns that sooth out with repetition, though the lows might need a little softening. Beat really hits the vocals well on this ‘Just 4 Me’ remix. – – As always, gotta wonder who these vocals came from.

This took me sometime, but I’ve finally warmed up to London Grammar’s voice in ‘Help Me Lose My Mind.’ At first it reminded me too much of the female British vocal craze goin on, but London Grammar is of the few that finally broke through the mess of it all. The girl can really carry a note and Disclosure took full advantage.

Slow a song down & I guess it gets much easier to take in the lyrics – or at least in DAVID’s Fergie – ‘Glamorous’ remix. I never liked most of Ferg’s career, but Glamorous was one of her gems & this hypnotic slowdown is fine as hell.
And this is exactly why I like remixes so much. Taking widely-know, gorgeous vocals and doin something different for them. This is where music is innovating right meow.

If there’s one thing that’s always been difficult for up and coming producers to find is a solid pair of vocal cords. We’ve got an over abundance of DJ’s & producers on SoundCloud & YouTube now, yet most are still relying on remixes, samples or just keeping it instrumental. Some eventually network their way into some talented singers or rappers, but it’s not happening fast or often enough, especially for this digital age. Which brings us to Shoe Scene Symphony’s latest track.
The 3S duo discussed on their SoundCloud page how difficult it was “to find a quality acapella” for their latest beat and didn’t seem too enthusiastic with their final selection — though that may just be my interpretation. It’s not that Aaliyah wasn’t a good choice, it’s just these instrumentals deserve their own original vocals, let alone a better match. It’s just coming up with the perfect vocals that’s been a problem for Shoe Scene Symphony and most other “under the radar” producers. […]

Flume takes my love out of Disclosure’s ‘You & Me’ and packs Eliza Doolittle’s vocals into a chopped up “orchestral crunkinator,” as they pretty much put it. I haven’t been on the Disclosure // Flume bandwagon before, but if they’re putting out music like this then I’m all in. There’s just so much deep house, uk garage love goin’ out there. Let me tell you, these two aren’t the best.

For those moments late at night when your trying to get as far away from life as possible, ‘Voyeur’ is for you. Bear//Face takes James Blake and deepens his voice into something that helps us all get away for awhile. Something all music is trying for, but few do better than just the point of “sounding good.”

The Best Dancers & Up Until Now did a lil collab together and remixed one of each other’s tracks. Both remixes premiered on The Untz just a few weeks back and as much as I’m feeling Up Until Now’s remix, The Best Dancers’ blew me away.
The start of their ‘Hood Shining’ remix breathes a build up like no other, hear it to believe it. Just play the first 40 seconds a few times back. On good speakers. The rest of the song may not boast such intensity as the first build, but is still one funkyass ride of glitch & bass.

Melodic dubstep may sound like an oxymoron at first, but it is for sure the best of its kind. It’s the kind of music that will take you out of your element, away from your own personal shit show – kinda like most music, but better. I would go as far to say it carries you to heights higher than our own beats to blaze to. So get out your best speakers, preferably headphones, and take a step away for a minute with some bass in mind.

So I guess The Creator’s Project went up and got all the stems from Phoenix’s ‘Trying to Be Cool’ and bestowed it upon us all. I’ve went through a few of the big numbered remixes and found Breakbot’s disco delight, but also caught something a bit off the radar with Will Bloomfield’s entrancing electro.
I’ve had these lyrics stuck in my head all damn day and it really could’ve been from either of these two. What remix do you prefer over the other

I didn’t originally know this, but Janet Jackson lends her vocals from her ‘Diamonds’ song. However, as you’ll see, Bronson has transformed her sweet style into some deep house, hypnotique soul.
