This Swiss duo, who are actually from Australia, has made one catchy little disco shit. Whoever the hell they enlisted for vocals sounds straight 70’s with a falsetto that rivals the Bee Gees. But even more impressive is that chorus – it always closes the deal (especially) in disco. And like always, I swear I’ve heard it before, probably on some Magician mix, but it may just be so good I’m remembering it from my future (I swear that’s a thing).

Skewing up the vocals on the highs & lows may sound like just a fad at first and probably will be in large part, but this style of soul wrenches my heart at every turn. And like always with this sample-based soul, I’ll probably never know who sang vocals, but I guess it makes it all the more mysterious (not really).

Man can Vindata cut up vocals. Somehow they chop every chorus with a precision that captivates with repetition. The duo did it with their 14th remix and now they do it with Cambio Sun.
Special note to producers, learn from Vindata – it’s better to remix some good unknowns than any mainstream vocals. So it’ll help you both more equally. Trust me, Ellie Goulding doesn’t need anymore remix publicity.

Crossing language barriers in music has always been difficult, but when the beat is right then we don’t need no stinking words that mean anything. Funk LeBlance, a producer from the Bay, not only takes french and turns it on its disco//funk ear, but classics from Michael Jackson & Jade as well. Especially love Jade’s ‘Every Day of the Week’ flipped and flopped around for this generation’s ears.

I don’t mean to get reamed out right now, cause I should for this blasphemy, but Sun Rai reminds me of MJ… at times… it’s a very distant relationship. It’s just he’s got such power packed in one smooth voice, like Michael. He’s really got one lovely voice. Just let it warm up a bit. One thing he does miss, however, is a few notes on this live performance at Loop Studios, but it makes it all the better, seriously. Such a lovely tune & singer.

I’ve been known to post remixes of terrible rappers before (might make a mix out of it), but rappers like Trinidad James aren’t completely worthless. The trouble I see with alotta good rappers, is most treat rap like poetry and forget it’s still music. And this is where most mainstream rappers succeed, they put character into their style and build a persona out of it, for better or worse. Music is entertainment whether we accept it or not, we just shouldn’t accept shit. But we’re not here to bitch about rappers like Trinidad, we’re here for Mr. Heisenbergs’ remix.
Listening to this ‘All Gold Everything’ remix for the first time, I couldn’t believe the electro anthem that played out. It fit Trinidad’s track so well I thought Heisenbergs must have kept a lot of the same sounds, if not at least the original melody. But from what I see in comparison of the two, it doesn’t have much of the original in it at all, accept Trinidad of course. Heisenbergs’ remix pulls off something the original should have in the first place. Straight party anthem.

There’s something soothing about repetition, and like Magic Touch & Sapphire Slows – ‘When I See You’, Jook10 has the funkyass drum patterns that sooth out with repetition, though the lows might need a little softening. Beat really hits the vocals well on this ‘Just 4 Me’ remix. – – As always, gotta wonder who these vocals came from.

This took me sometime, but I’ve finally warmed up to London Grammar’s voice in ‘Help Me Lose My Mind.’ At first it reminded me too much of the female British vocal craze goin on, but London Grammar is of the few that finally broke through the mess of it all. The girl can really carry a note and Disclosure took full advantage.
