This girl never ceases to amaze me. This is what is lacking in pop culture and hip-hop all around. Too many vocalists & MC’s focus on what they’re saying and not how they’re saying it and don’t seem to be 100% unfiltered. Lana, on the other hand, has a cool reservation with a ray (rey) of honesty always shining through (punned it!).
In her latest leak, “National Anthem” gives spins to America’s underlining goals. Like any of the other rebelious teenagers, Del Rey points out the flaws in our system, but unlike the rest, she does it in a sexy as fuck way.
This girl was trouble in 2011 and it’s only gonna get worse/better this year.
[audio:National-Anthem.mp3|titles=National Anthem]Today we have some heavy melodic bass music for your ears. Now I know that not everybody loves their electronic tumes filthy and destructive, I assure you that the boys from Notixx have a keen sense for melody and a knack for making the most begrimed beats sound so fresh and so clean. With a soundcloud full of free tunes and a affection for making some seriously dirty music in several different styles, Notixx is definitely worth checking out […]

They don’t have to rely on remixes to take em to the top, but when they do, it’s fresh as fuck. No Lil Wayne, Ludacris, or pop hip-hop remixes here, the Coyotes go for glory in an all out remix of the epic Star Wars theme.
It’s no easy task remixing a classic like this, but instead of making it a HELLA grimey bass driven beat with drops galore, the two take in everything I love about glitch, dubstep and whatever the hell else and do justice to the force… but what I love most, it gets better and better as it goes along, right up to the end!

It all started out through our transition with hip-hop. I remember thinking to myself that we needed more uptempo, dance type music. A year later and the majority of the site is just that. As much as we need to hop back on the hip-hop wagon, this electro ride has been one of our favorites!

But where there’s a lot that don’t work, there are some that do.
In Kill The Noise’s remix of “Growin Up in the Gutter,” Yelawolf’s raps fit just so fuckin nicely with dirty, dirtay drops. Rap is one of the few places dubstep can really spread its devilish wings and get dirty with it.

It’s not often that I find remixes that I like. I almost literally rip my hair out when I hear one – in fact, my roommate has often scolded me for yelling at my speakers – “THOSE LYRICS DON’T GO THERE. THEY DON’T EVEN FIT.”
But I couldn’t resist enjoying this one. It’s probably just because Passion Pit’s the shit, but still […]

JAYBeatz is the first on deck with a “Dirty Diana” collision that carries the two well, but doesn’t live up to what I’d think combining these two would bring. At times, I can barely tell MJ from The Weeknd, JAYBeatz plays off the two nicely, but also doesn’t bring anything spine-tingling to the mix, like his Weeknd/Drake mash. Still like the direction and the ideas he’s bringing, can’t wait for more.

I’ve followed him for some time and he always impresses, always. He’s usually lending those smooooth raps to Panacea or RPM, but it’s nice to hear him on a fresh beat. I haven’t heard of K-Def much lately, but those tunes are right up Raw P’s alley.

I like how these EDM stars are getting more into downtempo and Joel’s retake of “I Remember” relaxes it even more with a simple, light-hearted beat. Who’s up for an album like this
