Oh . no . he . didn’t! ENiGMA made for one of the best dubstep remixes of 2011 with his remix of Afrojack & Steve Aoki’s “No Beef” and now he’s doin dirty on Nate Dogg Oh, hell yes!
“I Got Love” gets drumstepped on by ENiGMA and sounds fresher than ever. It’s actually the first time I think I get what the difference between drumstep & dubstep are. But it really doesn’t matter, I’m so damn sick of these subgenre’s, it’s all Bass Music to me.

The 11 track offering showcases Chi Duly’s take on some of The Weeknd’s most popular tracks spanning from his three mixtapes.

In this latest Ghetto Funk installment, DJ Wood mashes up Sean Paul & Asteroids Galaxy Tour’s ghetto grooviness. Some of y’all may not be the biggest Sean Paul fans, but you can’t deny his swaveness in this shit! (or you best not)

It takes on LCD Soundsystem’s “Daft Punk Is Playing At My House,” which fits just right into this “Get Back” tune. + The Kinks cameo is a nice touch.

I don’t know of many singers who sound this good by themselves, but I know this is just as amazing as any with instrumentals added. <3 missed View Full Article »
[audio:How-Will-Whitney-Know.mp3|titles=How Will I Know (Acapella)]This Freedom Fry duo isn’t what I’m usually posting up, but Marie Seyrat’s voice hooked me in ever so slightly. I wasn’t too keen to the track at first, but I knew there was something about that chorus (I’m a sucker for a catchy one).
Well, “Earthquake” has grown on me just enough to give it praise, but I have a feeling it also might have to do with my love appeal for French women. Anyone who has to put up with French men is a saint in my eyes.

At first I wasn’t quite sure if some of the vocals were even The Weeknd himself, they were that chopped & skewed, but that’s what makes it so special, he lets you glimpse in & out, seamlessly flowing through electro manipulation.

I’m loving what each is bringing, but Rooks remix is such a dirty one, so dirty that it may trot over Leanna Rachel’s vocals a bit too heavily. Then again, I’ve always had a taste for gettin grimey with such lustrous vocals.

The LA-based duo are produced by Danger Mouse, and headed to SXSW where they’re sure to impress the funky Austin crowd. There is nothing better than a catchy jam that calls for a little hip gyration and a few head bobs, and to be honest I could probably gush for a few paragraphs about my love for the Mayer Hawthorn-esque vocals… but I think I’ll let it speak for itself.

The two mention that it was made specifically to fit the gameplay, which would be interesting to see the whole process they went through, working with game producers and such.
