Just when I thought I picked another unfound gem, I look over at the good ol’ Hype Machine to find it’s hitting the top 5 on the popular charts, hate when that happens. Well, I may not have been the first to find ’em, but I’m like one of them. :P
Last Lynx’s ‘Killing Switch’ is a good tango between Robin & Fredric’s vocals with a pop beat for this emerging generation [electrofied]. I do wish they would’ve played out their vocies a little longer, seperately & especially together – it just feels cut short.

There’s nothing I love more than beautiful vocals gettin dirty with the wordage and Cry Wolf gets real dirty with David Banner’s ‘Play.’ How the hell did Banner ever get away with this shit anyway
Love it.
This electro distortion of vocals displayed in ‘Your Drums, Your Love’ is sure to be the next auto tune craze, but I’m lovin the hell out of it for now. And the nice thing with this compared to other distortionists is that Reid (producer) doesn’t mess with Aluna’s fiine vocals, but leaves the chopping & skewing for the chorus. As for Aluna, I’m still on the fence with a few British accents, but I warmed up to her’s quicker than most.

Unlike the original indie piece, Lenno brings in that raspy bass & nu-disco charm, which brings the vocals to much higher heights.

Make sure to catch his debut album, Blak And Blu, out October 22.

I do, however, love looking into sound and the build up to the chorus in this is pretty damn pop fantastic. Once that chorus hits, you know Lovelife is in it for big things and you know those heartthrobbed teens are gonna eat ’em up once they get the chance (I’m right there with ’em).

Eat More Cake’s remix of ‘Skirts’ takes these tease-filled vocals and accompanies them with a far more calming state of Electronica than its original. Which fits the vocals much better.

From Moon Boots to Mansions on the Moon, Moon music is some stellar shit. Radio’s message & sound are hopeful, but the chorus seems a bit cheesy at times (“ya ya ya”).

First with Hindi music via Ghetto Funk and now some French via Meridian’s ‘Paris La Nuit’ remix.
Killtronik’s gets an electro pop makeover from Meridian and it sure rides well with those French female vocals. The one irritating thing, which my roommate pointed out is the male backup vocals – they sound so euro-sleazy. Do love those lady vocals though (just to let you know, again).

It’s not just his falsetto or his similar vocal style, it’s his demeanor and how he pushes out his sound. The production, however, is quite the opposite. I guess it’s just a taste of what Prince would sound like if he went indie electro … not too shabbay.
As far as the actual cover of Little Dragon goes, Electric Guest tops it. I’m in love with both vocals, probably Yukimi’s of Little Dragon more, but how Asa’s vocals ride along with the beat and switches it up for the falsetto, puts this on heavy rotation. Now I gotta wait for someone to mash these two up… anyone
