“Across the City” isn’t the usual parkour shoot – these dudes put a real grace to the movement. But team ’em up with some fine tunes from the Glitch Mob and this video really starts to step its game up. We all know that music makes movies, but in this the video really made the music.
The two tracks included are “Beyond Monday” by The Glitch Mob and The Glitch Mob’s remix of “Monday”, originally by Nalepa. I actually saw the music video for “Beyond Monday” (shown below) a while back, which does the song justice, but “Across the City” puts a whole new game to it.

You know I love me some of that Pacific Northwest shit, but put in a lil’ LA and spice it all off in Hawaii and I’m ready for some summer fresh hip-hop. Blue Scholars’ very own Geologic aka Geo aka Prometheus Brown teams up with LA native, Bambu, while on their University of Hawaii tour, to create a musically inspired project from the Aloha islands. Producers range from Sabzi (the other half of Blue Scholars) to Budo and many other talents.

This definitely would’ve made my Ellie Goulding Dubstep Remix Compilation if it came out about three months earlier, but like the other “Starry Eyed” dubstep remix by Jawkob, both falter at the drop. Minnesota’s “drops” may have been better executed than Jakwob’s, but it’s still nothing compared to the top two on the list. Even worse, his distortion of Ellie’s voice is unneeded and not properly pulled off.

I don’t know what’s going on in New Zealand, but I’ve been finding some of the best DJ’s & bands from the Kiwi coast. Especially in the funk arena, NZ seems to be tearin’ up SoundCloud with a few labels and many artists to follow.

Caught another gem on the Turntable from good ol’ marc of MJF. The Artist/Title were ‘unknown’ at the time, so while trying to figure it out, it started to remind me of something Kid Cudi‘s new rock project would sound like… with a bit more pop twist to it.
