I only heard about CRSSD fest for the first time last week (actually second, long story) and booking a hotel in San Diego isn’t cheap. Plus flights are ungodly now, so Road Trip! I would’ve given up on this much hassle a long time ago (a week), but look at this lineup.
I’ve gone to a half dozen festivals this year and all of ’em combined don’t add up to what CRSSD has got. Zhu and Bonobo right there makes me there. It’s not really an option after that.
But if you’re not convinced of the lineup yet, check out the playlist we put together. That’s a lot of artists to see in two days. And I usually don’t go to festivals for the music.

I’ll be driving down from San Francisco Friday afternoon, so if anyone needs a ride hit me up!
Outside Lands begins my favorite time of the year. It’s good weather in San Francisco, except in Golden Gate Park where it’s held, and there are plenty of fun things right around the corner. Treasure Island Music Festival, Beyond Wonderland & SF MusicTech to name three.
This year’s lineup for OSL is looking to be one of its best. I’ve compiled 12 of my favorites, not including Elton, D’Angelo, St. Vincent, Leon Bridges & Toro y Moi. Their SoundCloud presence is lacking and 8tracks doesn’t give us enough numbers to give a damn about dat.

Below the playlist we have two highlights from the festival, Odesza’s set and meeting Toro y Moi.
First Odesza with Zhu and now Classixx with Rufus. There’s nothing I love more than when my favorites remix my favorites (I’ve got a lot of favorites).
We didn’t do a write up on Rufus’s Atlas album simply because we didn’t really have much to say on it. It’s not as easy as you’d think bringing in some other insights. Take this post for example. But with our move towards playlists, our words won’t get in the way of good music no mo. Stay Tuned.

However fast or slow, it brings the spirit to soul music. This may only be our second mix of its kind (#1), but it’s got some soon to be disco legends for sure. So whether you’re alone or in public, get up & dance to this 13-track disco mix.

Classixx also enrolled some brand spankin fresh vocals for ‘Holding On,’ one’s I can’t find credited anywhere… (disappointing) Besides that, this is a clear cut classic, as Classixx tends to always push out.

But what I love about it is its new feel to Fabolous & Nate Dogg. If you’re gonna mashup popular hip-hop, put something different in any way possible.

Rooms can be setup by anyone and consist of 1-5 DJ’s at a time. Topics for each room range from specific genres to music blogs that play just about everything.
The first type of room I got into was dubstep- although, I quickly realized that the crowd and music wasn’t for me. Apparently, I’m not into the “right” kind of dubstep, so I hit up the hip-hop & mashup rooms for a while. As much good music as I’ve found through these rooms, I wasn’t quite connecting with that many people. I started to realize that the best quality in TT.fm wasn’t finding new music, but connecting with […]
