I don’t know if I’ve ever heard/seen more debates over an artist than there have been with Sonny Moore. The man’s explosion onto the EDM scene just over one year ago took everyone by surprise. Practically overnight, he went from being a niche-scene unknown into an ambassador of EDM with 8 of Beatport’s top 10 slots all to himself for a at least a few weeks. I’m pretty sure that’s never happened before.
So this must have some significance, right I mean we, the music-listening community, are the ones who gave Sonny his throne. Why has his music generated so much (more than normal) backlash
[audio:http://silencenogood.net/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/06-Signal.mp3|titles=Signal]Zeds Dead has already pumped out one Adrenaline filled EP, but now they throw us a reremix of Dangers’ remix of Sebastien Tellier’s “Divine” (get all that). Never heard Tellier before, but his voice reminds me of a Beatle at times… I’m thinking Paul

Recently, the duo released their second original, “Do I See Color,” a track that displays pretty much everything we’ve come to know and love about Adventure Club: nice vocal chops, sexy basses and a sound universal enough to be liked by most, yet unique enough to soundly occupy its own niche within the genre of dubstep (possibly sharing some space with Flufftronix and Dirty South Joe’s ‘Love Step’ series) […]

Definitely some unique shit on here and shows their progressive, alternating style.
Check out the previews below and hit it up on Amazon if you’re feelin it.

See, I had some sort of a brain fart and thought that XV, Wiz Khalifa & Figure got together to make a legit dubstep // hip hop collab (overlooked the “remix”). Well, even though this is just a remix, it’s a damn good one at that. Sill not topping my favorite Khalifa remix, but I’d love to see Khalifa & XV go in the dubstep direction.

Many don’t believe, for good reason, that dubstep should be destroying such nostalgic tunes, but I have different beliefs.
Voodoo Farm’s tirade on “A Day in the Life” isn’t meant to do anything for the original fans of the track (I wouldn’t try to understand electro either if I was 50). But what dubstep remixes are trying to do, as well as many other types of remixes, is to bring our favorites from back in the day and turn them on to new sounds. Like it or not, it’s all for the love & appreciation of their originals, so no hatin’ on love (unless it does actually suck).

And to top it off, those good ol’ synths to really bring me beyond. Ya gotta check this shit, brooo.

Wasn’t all that much of a fan of the original, but Paper Diamond throws in that mind-numbing bass that gets me every.damn.time.

It all started out through our transition with hip-hop. I remember thinking to myself that we needed more uptempo, dance type music. A year later and the majority of the site is just that. As much as we need to hop back on the hip-hop wagon, this electro ride has been one of our favorites!

But where there’s a lot that don’t work, there are some that do.
In Kill The Noise’s remix of “Growin Up in the Gutter,” Yelawolf’s raps fit just so fuckin nicely with dirty, dirtay drops. Rap is one of the few places dubstep can really spread its devilish wings and get dirty with it.
