“Dose of Dopeness” has been in the works since Cudi’s breakout hit, “Day N Night,” and it’s been hypin’ steadily ever since. It’s got the usual Cudder flow with a delicate beat to match up, but it doesn’t seem to have that punch to make it anything better than a few days hype.
Their new album & moniker, WZRD, will also be released next week. Should be a whole different style coming from these two.

For “Streamline,” Damu & Raw P team up to dish out some fine jazz rap. Weren’t these two suppose to be working on something else… ah yea, that new Panacea album. Well, I don’t know if Damu’s in on that, but I can already tell this is going to be a very Raw Poetic year.

This isn’t just some poet tryin to get his words across, but real verbal artistry in the works. Love the style these two are pushin, although the quality in production, whether intended or not, needs some polishing. Still, much better than the original.

ENiGMA made for one of the best dubstep remixes of 2011 with his remix of Afrojack & Steve Aoki’s “No Beef” and now he’s doin dirty on Nate Dogg Oh, hell yes!
“I Got Love” gets drumstepped on by ENiGMA and sounds fresher than ever. It’s actually the first time I think I get what the difference between drumstep & dubstep are. But it really doesn’t matter, I’m so damn sick of these subgenre’s, it’s all Bass Music to me.

First thing I look for, especially in hip-hop, is personality, flow & a good beat – and these guys got all that. However, I’m not really feelin the lyrics are worth listening to. It’s obviously not intended to be a lyrically heavy track, but they’re pretty standard, mainstream shit – which I expect more from someone with a spot on flow like this.

If you haven’t heard the Geto Boy’s “Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta” or the movie that made it so popular, Office Space, then what the shit kinda movies have you been watching all these years Either way, his upbeat, ghetto funk rendition of this gangsta ass beat is a hell of a romper.

This is what I love about Wick-it, he isn’t scared to switch up his forte.

Viceroy has remixed some known vocals into some freshly chilled tunes and has even created some stellar originals.
What I like best about this “Going Back to Cali” remix is that it goes for a completely different vibe than most remixers are going. The beached out, Jamaican vibe isn’t heard by many remixes, let alone with BIG’s lyrics thrown on top, and that’s what makes it so fresh & so clean (clean).

I got to know of Gabriel Teodros through his group, Abyssinian Creole, which created one of the most soulful hip-hop albums I’ve stuck with, Sexy Beast.
In his most recent solo work, Teodros teams up with Bean One for “Blossoms of Fire,” which is in reference to the 2000 documentary with the same name. The documentary covers a society in Mexico where women are empowered to create their own businesses. Check out the video which clearly gives homage to the movement and its greater potential impact on the world.
The full album, Colored People’s Time Machine, was released a few days ago, which I’ll be checking out.. soon as I find it.
[audio:Blossoms-Of-Fire.mp3|titles=Blossoms of Fire]First time I listened to this I got so hyped. See, I had some sort of a brain fart and thought that XV, Wiz Khalifa & Figure got together to make a legit dubstep // hip hop collab (overlooked the “remix”). Well, even though this is just a remix, it’s a damn good one at that. Sill not topping my favorite Khalifa remix, but I’d love to see Khalifa & XV go in the dubstep direction.
