Gigamesh’s remix of “Tongue Tied” is that forever loving disco that Gigamesh does best. I can’t believe how long this took for me to post, let’s just say I didn’t realize how popular the ‘mesh was, but it’s still just as Minnesota fresh.

For “Streamline,” Damu & Raw P team up to dish out some fine jazz rap. Weren’t these two suppose to be working on something else… ah yea, that new Panacea album. Well, I don’t know if Damu’s in on that, but I can already tell this is going to be a very Raw Poetic year.

This isn’t just some poet tryin to get his words across, but real verbal artistry in the works. Love the style these two are pushin, although the quality in production, whether intended or not, needs some polishing. Still, much better than the original.

“I Got Love” gets drumstepped on by ENiGMA and sounds fresher than ever. It’s actually the first time I think I get what the difference between drumstep & dubstep are. But it really doesn’t matter, I’m so damn sick of these subgenre’s, it’s all Bass Music to me.

It takes on LCD Soundsystem’s “Daft Punk Is Playing At My House,” which fits just right into this “Get Back” tune. + The Kinks cameo is a nice touch.

I wasn’t too keen to the track at first, but I knew there was something about that chorus (I’m a sucker for a catchy one).
Well, “Earthquake” has grown on me just enough to give it praise, but I have a feeling it also might have to do with my love appeal for French women. Anyone who has to put up with French men is a saint in my eyes.

At first I wasn’t quite sure if some of the vocals were even The Weeknd himself, they were that chopped & skewed, but that’s what makes it so special, he lets you glimpse in & out, seamlessly flowing through electro manipulation.
