Last year when I was writing up a piece on the best ghetto funk of 2011, I thought that ghetto funk would be the next biggest thing in emerging music – well, I more hoped it would be. The sub-genre just doesn’t have enough traction with producers and listeners to be the next big thing. However, I do know what’s about to tear up this next progression in music and this time it’s not just wishful thinking.
Our last major mix of music was comprised of the next stylings in R&B. With the likes of Frank Ocean & The Weeknd, soul music is back, but that’s only one half of the equation. Where this hipster R&B is our new music to make love to, nu-disco is where it’s at to get down and dirty on the dance floor […]

Recently, the duo released their second original, “Do I See Color,” a track that displays pretty much everything we’ve come to know and love about Adventure Club: nice vocal chops, sexy basses and a sound universal enough to be liked by most, yet unique enough to soundly occupy its own niche within the genre of dubstep (possibly sharing some space with Flufftronix and Dirty South Joe’s ‘Love Step’ series) […]

The beat is right on pace with hers and brings a whole new flavor to Flight Facilities’ classic. Props to Michael Brun, Paris FZ & Simo T for getting together and bringing this to light.

Now we get a remix from Beni with a nice lil bass number. Solid remix up until the end – gets a little weird (you’ll know when it hits). Otherwise, as enjoyable as the original.

Believe me, I’m a girl who loves some fat and crunchy bass drops, but something about these Aussies resurfacing disco has got me all excited. Maybe it’s because I shop at American Apparel and drink Kombucha, or maybe it’s because I’ve been loving the jams featuring fresh female vocals lately, but regardless, I’m digging the feel-good 70s mood of this song, hard. However, it’s not just the song that’s got me blogging, it’s the bootleg video that’s surfaced on Youtube. […]
