OK, we’re a couple weeks late on this one, but I feel it necessary to say a couple words about Mord Fustang’s new EP. The release is exactly what one would expect from Mr. Fustang. His signature super fat saws and squares remain the driving force behind all of his tracks, which, coupled with complextro drops and a dash of vocal chops, has proven to be an award winning formula for Beatport’s Breakthrough Artist of the Year.
The EP doesn’t feature anything particularly flashy or innovative, instead taking a stance similar to that of Wolfgang Gartner and other prominent electro-house artists: a commitment to quality production and beats to get the dance floor bumpin. Not to say that Welcome to the Future isn’t a unique release; it is soaked in distinctively Mord Fustang-ish synths.
All in all, this is a solid release from one of my favorite newcomers to the EDM scene. Be sure to check out some of his remixes below, too (of which one or two never fail to make it into my set).
