How have I only just been introduced to Goldroom I wanna say I first heard of him through his heavy Saguaro Mix, but I feel like I’ve known about him even before that. It could’ve been The Knock’s remix of ‘Only You Can Show Me,’ which I may like more than Goldroom’s original, or maybe not. Still undecided.
A thanks also goes to Goldroom for crediting Mereki on the track. Not enough producers credit their vocalists, surprisingly enough. I’ll admit I like to see titles clean, but vocals like Mereki deserve credit at the top as much as Goldroom’s name does.

Someone in, on or associated with Bondax has got one helluva full voice. This Moon Boots remix may not get to it quick enough, but it turns into a catchyass, disco-pop track in no time (about a minute).

Where a good chunk of songs suck because of their repetitiveness, ‘When I See You’ glorifies it. These vocals are so well cut they put me in a state every time I hear them. I wonder what she’s saying. Does it really matter

Every time I hear this start off it instantly reminds me of Solange’s Losing You, it’s that rhythm or somethin’. Classixx also enrolled some brand spankin fresh vocals for ‘Holding On,’ one’s I can’t find credited anywhere… (disappointing) Besides that, this is a clear cut classic, as Classixx tends to always push out.

Alright, this shit is just getting too damn sexy. If you knew me in “real” life, you’d know this is just way too sexy for me. I’m in fact the polar opposite of how sexy this is (I’m workin on it). Anyways. These Russian fucks going by 5 Reasons make some soulful shit that, again, is just too sexy for me (I can’t highlight this enough). However, most of the soul in this actually hails from good ol’ Nashville, Tennessee. Patrick Baker has some fuckin charm in his vocals and 5 Reasons adds just the right touch to it. So Sexy.

It’s starting to surprise me how well these remixers are taking their originals to somewhere completely different than it first intended. Krono, a duo out of Paris, took this “So You Think You Can Dance,” pop-plastic song and flipped it on its Soul. Check out the original song with the video below and compare it to this heavy, soulful remix with a smooth & steady beat. Sogood.

This isn’t a remix. Shook has taken snippets of Ghost Beach’s ‘Been There Before’ and completely rendered them from an alt-rock electro piece into a slow disco meditation. The melodies sound similar but this remix is so damn different to the original that “remix” is definitely underselling it. What Shook does to these vocals makes for some sexy disco highs. So catchy in my head-y.

Le Youth has some smoothass disco goin on here with vocals provided by Cassie’s hit, ‘Me & You.’ And the only thing the original has over Le Youth’s funky production is that sexyass video below. Also not really feelin’ the Missy Elliot type raps near the end of ‘C O O L,’ but it still works out well enough.

Luminaire is such a favorite of mine because he picks such good vocals. ‘Like We Used To’ is a simple dirty disco beat with a few verses repeated, but the vocals are chosen so well and the beat is matched up so right. –Gotta get him doin legit collabs soon though.
